Financial Controller (Part-time)

Reporting to the President, the successful candidate will integrate themselves as a key member of the executive team to assume ownership of the accounting and finance functions and provide direct support and supervision to the team members engaged in these areas.



The Financial Controller will be responsible to:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and complete month-end, quarter end, and year-end close processes with reporting packages presented to the respective stakeholders
  • Work with banking institutions and auditors as required throughout the year based on reporting requirements)
  • Report and present financial results, risks and opportunities to key stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Oversee the financial control environments and processes
  • Streamline chart of accounts, general reporting and reconciliations between different platforms
  • Build and maintain financial standards

Secondary Involvement:

  • Lead/support corporate initiatives and identify and initiate process improvements.
  • Provide thought leadership and insight on the achievement of performance metrics with a strong focus on cost management and optimization in order to set and achieve objectives.
  • Provide support to existing team functions currently preparing cost forecasting, budgeting and associated analysis.


The successful candidate will have the following:


  • a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; and
  • a professional accounting/finance designation with 5+ post designation (CPA) experience.


  • 5+ years of senior level accounting/finance and financial reporting experience;
  • Ability to develop and implement product costing, strategic plans, KPIs, and short and long-term budgets;
  • Aptitude for details;
  • Experience designing and implementing systems, internal controls and risk management processes;
